Lukka still has not improved from where she was last time I gave an update. She limps and if she tries to run (when she hears something in the yard or someone comes to the door) she has a much more pronounced limp for a day or two.
I have taken her to the vet a few times and they assure me the knee feels good and stable, but the arthritis is painful for her. She gets her supplements daily and every six weeks cartrophen shots. In the fall I am going to get her knee ex ray'd and see what is going on in there.
She is overall a very happy girl however, we do everything we can to make her feel special and take her mind off her knee problems. She is actually quite a spoiled girl, and she loves it.:D

Pictures were taken just a couple of days ago

Oh yeah, and I am still between stages 1 / 2. I have to hit stage 4 before transplant, if I qualify. I'm doing OK
This is a slow moving disease, and it can be years without symptoms so I will die with PBC, but not likely of PBC.
Certainly having PBC indicates a genetic flaw in my code somewhere. There is nothing I could have done to prevent getting PBC, with the possible exception of choosing my parents more wisely. I'll know better next time.

I hope over time, and I am thinking maybe a year or so, that it will subside. I know she will never be the same as prior to injury no matter how much time passes, but it would be nice if she could progress and be able to play again. She really wants to run in the yard and play with us, but it just can't happen yet.

I hope so too , she's still so young !

You can drop her off at my place for a week end anytime , I will play softly with her , and by that I mean cuddle with her on the couch :cloud9:

Thanks for the updates, Lukka'sma! I was wondering how you two were doing the other day! :grouphug: I think of you a lot.

Lukka is beautiful, as always! :flirt: I just always want to throw my arms around her neck and give her a big hug...but of course, hazel would ask permission first

I've also been wondering about beautiful Lukka. :lovestruck:

Chase also still has problems if he overdoes it so we still have to only let him play with Logan for short periods. :frustrated: What really ticks me off is that we were told by the specialist that he would be completely normal after his rehabilitation period. :frustrated:

So I know how you feel when you can't let such a young dog run and play like they want to and should be able to. :grouphug:

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling okay. :thumbs up Does the disease progress quicker once you are past stage two? :o
