Lucky at the Cottage

June 28th, 2008, 07:28 AM
I haven't posted in a long while because I've had a really lousy Spring with the loss of a very close family member in May. Lucky and I have moved to the cottage for the Summer at least and perhaps permanently by next year.

Here's a little video I put together of how she is making out.

Mind you this was her first ride. She is much more of a seadog (lakedog?) now.

Lucky looks a little tentative in that canoe. Love the little lifejacket.
Sorry about your loss, I imagine Lucky was a great comfort in trying times.

My condolences for your loss. :grouphug: :candle:

Yes, Lucky looks a little unsure of herself in the canoe but I'm sure she is loving it now. Would love to see more pics. :goodvibes:

Lucky is gaining more confidence now. She has her sea legs (lake legs?). At least she is quiet and doesn't scare wildlife away when I'm trying to take pictures. She doesn't seem to like ducks though. All sizes of them set her off.

Lucky seemed not to excited  in those first pictures but looks like she is loving the cabin lifestyle in that lost picture :lovestruck:.

Aww, she looked so unsure in that video. But in the picture she looks a little braver.:D

Lucky is going to absolutely hate going back to the city. There she can only walk outside with a leash. Here she goes where she wants, when she wants, and back when she wants. In the city I have to take her to doggie day care in order for her to meet other dogs. Here she runs over to the neighbour's cottages and plays with Willie, Tess, Bailey whenever she get the chance.

She doesn't stay very clean though. I give her a bath and the next thing I see is she and Tess rolling around in the sand, the grass, the weeds, the whatever. I'm forever picking grass bits out of her fur.
