My neighbour once again brought me the "left overs" from her cats hunting party,:frustrated: did she ever hear of keeping her cat inside????:wall: Anyways, its a young male chipmunk, I'd say almost 3 months old, at the stage to set out on his own. He had a really small puncture wound on his belly that I cleaned with diluted peroxide (he was still in shock at the time so I was able to check him over really well) fed him a few drops of warm water with an eyedropper, wrapped him up nice and warm and placed him in my "hospital" (top of fridge where its nice and warm and the humming calms them) by last night he was eating a few berries and bird seed, this morning he's so active it was hard to get a picture of him, so he'll be set free this afternoon around my "wooded" feeding station and hopefully he belongs to the multitude of chipmunk families that gather there to eat. He will make it on his own though, they come out of the "nest" at 6 weeks but stick around mom till they are 12 weeks, so he must have been a May litter. Wish him well please!:fingerscr

very hard to get a picture of him because he's so active!

Best of luck Chippy. I love chipmunks and wish we had them in our yard.

I love chipmunks, have 3 that hang around my verandah and 1 particular cutie who runs up to me everytime I go out there for her peanuts. Thanks for saving this one's life.
