Zoo animals living beyond their wild counterparts years.

This article is a bit long, but very interesting. The last few paragraph's brought a tear to my eye. It's not an article of abuse though, just in case some of you are wary about reading it.

Oh......that was very difficult to read....I know zoos do the best they can to help their captive audience and I am torn between agreeing with them and wanting to see all the "WILD" animals in their natural habitat.

Yes, Sheba's story does bring tears.....

BusterB, I know what you mean. On the one hand, I hate to see them "caged" in, even the ones not in cages. But on the other hand, it's getting to a point where many of these animals are losing their natural habitat and in danger of becoming extinct at some point. Zoo's I think are a double edged sword.
