I'm worried about my fletchy!

Hey everyone! I have a 13 year old hound named Fletch! Lately the right side of his nose is all dry. I don't know why. Is he sick?

How long has it been dry? It is most likely not a problem since my dog's nose can be dry or moist, or even change colors with the season.
