This is so sad and is getting to me a bit as my sister works with another one of the aunts and learned of it after asking the usual, "how was your weekend?" What a sad, sad response to receive. The newspaper article doesn't say but apparently the horse had to be put down.

Brooks said the female driver, who sustained minor injuries, has been released from custody. The probe is ongoing, but speed and alcohol are believed to be factors.


This part really gets me. A simple blood test would tell if the driver is drunk and if that is the case, the driver should never have been released from custody. Then it is (or should be) vehicular manslaughter.

:sad: this is so sad and makes me furious, this happened at 5 pm right ? And this looser was already drunk and decided to take her car ? :wall:
