Just turned two or was about to in the next couple of weeks. I will have hubby dig a hole and we will bury him in the yard with his brothers Nugget - cat
Harley - rabbit
Angus and Malcolm - gerbil
and his sister
Charlotte - cat

I think that that is their average life span, so short for such a cutie :candle:

Your backyard sounds like mine,I have 4 cats buried there(Blue,Sammy,Cookie and Peppi)+several birds and squirrels.

I kept Sebastian in my bedroom especially because I loved to hear him in his wheel at night,:laughing: it just had such a relaxing effect on me to know he was playing and happy. I hope nobody thinks I didn't regret having to say goodbye by what I did today, but it was necessary. I bought another hammy. Not to replace Sebastain, but because I know I can give a hammy a better home than what the pet store provides. This little one hasn't got a name yet. He is still getting used to the cage, it is quite large with four levels so lots of exploring to do. He doesn't know enough to sleep in the little igloo I have in there. It has amazing soft fluff for him to curl up in, maybe in a day or so he will get the hang of it.:) He loves his wheel:thumbs up, didn't have one in his cage at the pet store.

SOrry for your loss Lukka'sma , Sebastian was pretty cute , I love that second picture of him , like he's saying "hi!"

Lukkasmom,of course it's great you rescued another hammi from the pet-shop.
Many consider little cretures not worth the effort,but they have little hearts,little brains just like any other animal.:lovestruck:they are also little cuties...

Awww. He was so cute. :cloud9: I hope his wheel at the rainbow is well oiled.

As cute as those little guys are, I don't think I could stand to have my heart broken every 2 years.
