Way too hot man . . . . . even in the snow

So, about a week ago we were buried under about six inches of fresh snow. Today, the temp was about 85 farenheit or 31 Celcius, southwest of Calgary.

Too cold or too hot. We can't win for losing!!!

Although it looks suspiciously cool, it was actually about 80 above as Keeper found a piece of heaven/relief in some lingering, high altitude snow during one of our walks today.

. . . . . and Abby found just the right spot as well.

Below, the walking was good, in spite of the heat, with patches of snow for Abby (here) and Keeper.

Below, even the lake and a goose to chase was way too hot for Keeper, which is why we retreated to the nearby high country. There were also some bulls nearby in this field, which wasn't too good for our ongoing health, another reason for our escape.

More heat tomorrow, then a long slide into coolness again.

I have to vote for Abby basking in the sun while keeping cool too. I'll trade temps with you. We broke the record yesterday at 106 F. Corky & Den-Den didn't feel it - they spent the day in the air-conditioned house. They'd never survive in your area.

Please tell me those aren't taken in your yard, and you are on vacation somewhere..Looks like a dogs paradise!! Lucky ducky.

Well, it wasn't taken IN my backyard but I can see it from my backyard.

The scenes above were taken on a ridge about 80 km away, as the crow flies, on the left side of picture below.

Abby on a snowy morning . . . . .

Holey moley what a view!

What's interesting is that it's just a big hill . . . the foothills.

It's not even a mountain. :thumbs up:laughing:
