Thanks. I probably should have taken them at a different time of day though, there are some pretty long shadows. I just had dh's camera out playing around with it, trying to get used to using it. It takes such nice pics, whereas mine sucks big time. Everything I take on mine is either overexposed, underexposed, or has weird colouring no matter what settings I try to change. This is a newer one that I'm trying but I have to upload the pics to a photosharing site from dh's laptop, I can't get them onto my computer until I upgrade my version of Windows. Even when he burnt me a disc I couldn't use it in mine.

It is very springy here right now, I've got mud everywhere (except where I now have ponds that aren't normally there). The only snow that's left really is up in the bush and a bit where I had a trail packed down all winter and the frost got driven in deeper. Everything else is mud, mud, mud or water. The dogs don't mind though, I've got several that love the water and one (Thunder) likes to go into the deepest part and lay down, even if there's still ice on the puddles. I mind though when 7 sets if muddy paws are running through my house. :yuck:

Thanks everyone. I think I might enter that last one in a photo contest that's coming up. And I have to still decide on one of my "Flash" photos (see other thread, "my boy Flash" if you haven't seen them http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=51350). I also kind of like the one with Rain in front of the puddle, with the rippling water reflecting the trees, but there's also a reflection of a fencepost right over her back. In the resized photo that I posted here it doesn't show a lot of clarity around her face, but the full size image is nicer. And of course I also like some of my Storm photos (from more Storm pics thread http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=51351). Hmmm...either I need to look at these pics more objectively (as in the quality, not the fact they're my dogs and I love them all and want them all in the contest), or else I'm going to go broke on entry fees. :p

The contest is a fundraiser for Minden Emergency Animal Care. You pay a fee to enter photos in the contest and the winning photos are made into a calendar which is then sold to raise funds. The idea of MEAC is to have funds in place to be able to help provide emergency veterinary care to stray animals in our area. They also do other fundraisers like a dog/car wash in the warmer weather.
