I am new to your group.. Hello everyone. I have a female fox terrier (smooth coat) that will not stop crapping in the house. If she is in HER room, she is fine (hours, no mess) let her out side and she does her business, except I am sure she saves some, because within the hour, she will do it in the house. put her out every hour and she will still leave you a suprise somewhere in the house, except in her room. Missy is almost a year old,, any suggestions would be helpful.... Put her leash on her and leash her to your person. That way she can not leave your side, you can correct this behavior the MINUTE she starts to do her business, you can run her out side.

Hi and welcome

How long have you had Missy for (love the name) and where did you get her from?

If she was a shelter dog, this could explain it!

Try using plain white vinegar to clean up the Missy messes in the house. Make sure she get's a good whiff of the vinegar too. Dogs detest vinegar and she will associate it with her bad habit. Vinegar also helps to destroy her scent that she left in that spot. Don't forget to praise her when she does go outside.
