Just after reading about the attack here in Mississauga I pick up the Sun and find a super column about dogs in the Sun by Ted Woloshyn.
Can't find a link for it so I'll type the BSL part out.
It's about Grace Hall and her Adopt a Dog, Save a Life program
"If there's one thing that aggravates this peacefull woman, it is the government-instituted bans on various breeds of dogs, especially the pit bull.
"I'm totally against it, it's not the dog, it's the owner", she said. "Pitbulls are highly intelligent animals, that are the 'nanny dogs' of NewYork city. Many nannies have them because they get along so well with children. Pit bulls love children".
If you're trying to wrap your head around that statement, consider this.
"First they went after German Shepherds, then Dobermans, then Rotweilers and now pit bulls. Next it will be another breed" Grace said.
"it's not right and it's not fair. I have placed many of these dogs and they're all sweeties. No one has complained."
In fact Grace Hall has worked with thousand of animals for three decades. She knows of what she speaks and speaks from her heart, not from some misgiuded missive passed down from overzealous politicians.
I'm going to thank Ted for the article
