And my how he's grown. I have his sister Rain as well, but no nice recent pictures of her. Here's Storm at 6 weeks, 3 months and 1 year. The last image is (c) Gord Barter

Thanks everyone. As I said, Rain is Storm's sister so it's her birthday too, I just don't have such a nice picture of her to show. Anyways, here are a few that I do have, at 6 weeks, 4 months and about 9 months

Storm and Rain. What great names and pretty dogs.

Thanks. These guys are a part of my "weather system" I also have Lightning, Thunder, Flash, Flurry and Noah. Noah was around before all the others, but his name fits too if you think of flooding and Noah's Ark. I need to start moving into more wintery sounding names for my sled dogs though. In the future I think I might use Blizzard, and though not wintery, Tornado and Cyclone. They sound fast and furious, the way I want the dogs to run :D

OC Spirit - you will definitely see Storm out on the trails next year, hopefully Rain too. I started her and Storm both into light training but then she injured herself playing too hard with the other dogs so of course I haven't worked her since then. She was amazing though. She's just so active that she doesn't give herself time to rest and heal so she's still a little sore off and on. By next season though she should be all better and back in training. Storm's been doing well so even if for some reason Rain isn't ready in time I could still enter with 3 dogs (Lightning,Thunder and Storm). I think our pup Flurry will also be running in the 2 mile youth race next year at Haliburton with Lightning and my daughter, and probably in the 2-dog novice at Cannington. Not Apsley though, I think the driver has to be at least 12 years old and it's a harder race for both the dogs and mushers with the head-on passing. Ha! The snow's not even gone and I'm already planning next years races  Do you still have snow? I just took my boys out for a nice little run yesterday. I think I'm going to be still running dogs in April at this rate :thumbs up

happy belated birthday, Storm and Rain!

Sorry I missed it! :o I hope you spent it doing something really fun, smelling something really intriguing, and/or tasting something absolutely scrumptious! :cloud9:
