Ouch...

I had almost forgotten how nasty a severe cat bite can be, until this afternoon.
I have a new neighbor who just lost his wife to cancer at New Years. He recently took a new job which will keep him out of town for a week at a time and he asked me to "snout sit" for his two cats. No biggie. I watch after many others during our busy months.
So, today I stopped by for my little orientation & meet -n-greet the kids...as soon as I walked in the door, the guy's Havana Brown came running up so I reached out for a pet..that's when Catzilla latched onto my left wrist. This demon cat from hell had such a grip his dad had to pry his jaws off of my arm..*insert vulgar words here*. My wrist is very swollen, (expected) and oh..the pain! (expected too) I see many soakings in my future and maybe a round of antibiotics also.
I shoulda known better, the guy has a sign out front., "Protected By An Attack Cat". Figgers...this is gonna be a nightmare job.

Karin,my own sweet Tabby has attacked me twice and I mean attack crazily, there were circumstances I don't want to get into, but I ended up going to emergency a couple of times and lengthy wound treatments, antibiotics, ointments etc....a BIG ouch!!!and quiet dangerous!!

Oww! I have had my share of to the bone cat bites, it has been a while though. My entire left wrist is swollen now & will not bend...and it's getting worse. Crap! I feel so stupid! I knew better! *kicks self in butt*

I also know this will probably take at least a week to improve.

Well, I already committed to the guy to take care of Catzilla and his sweet cohort. Although right now I would rather gouge out my eyeballs with a spoon. Can you tell I'm dreading this adventure?

Well, good luck :D :D It actually took a wound on my leg weeks to heal, had to see a wound specialist.
Hopefully Catzilla will take to you eventually.
I'd go in the house armed with a hose :D

My first visit solo is Monday am..bringing my trusty AK-47..loaded. ( just kidding) I plan to just go in, take care of the litter box and refresh food and water. Nothing else. The other cat, "Gomer" is a sweetie. note* I did not name these cats, except Catzilla who's real name is "Jethro".
Problem #2...Catzilla is on meds, twice daily. Orally.
Oh what joy. The owner said I could skip that part.
