Czarina, the hunting kitty

This morning I was sitting waiting for my little sweetie to show up for my morning ray of sunshine. Miguel came out of his office and asked me where she was, and I told him I hadn't seen her. He told me he'd seen her when he arrived and she was eating a bit when a dog scared her off. We sat and talked for a bit and I started wondering where she was. So he said he'd check in the office to see if maybe she was in there and he hadn't seen her.

No sooner had he gone in, when I saw her emerging from a bush, with what was left of a pigeon in her mouth. Oy!:yuck:

She walked over to me and dropped her carcass. Miguel took it and threw it away and told me that was the third one that he's seen her mangle. She had feathers stuck between her paws. Sheesh, she certainly got some fresh meat this morning that's for sure.

She got so excited by her kill she started nipping at me. :laughing:

Aw kitty loves you she brought you presents. Don't you wish they could just bring flowers or chocolates.

LOL, I guess to her that IS like bringing me flowers. I actually thought it was a nice gesture. Mind you, I felt bad for the pigeon. She's got plenty of food and doesn't need to do that, but I saw it as her way of telling me she wants me to have something of hers. That to me is very special.:cry:

Growing up we always had cats that we let out (when I was a child - long before I knew how fearsome the world was) and my little Tidbits would bring her nightly kills to the door and line them up. When I came to the door to let her in, she would always spend a bit of time trying to pick one to try to bring in - I never let her, but she always tried! She was such a huntress!!!

the outside momma cat brought me a gopher yesterday eww. and left the remains of a bird for me too. I'm lucky though, Allie doesn't share her mice.

WHen i filled out the adoption forms the first question was "why do you want a cat? I didnt think rodent and small bird control was a good thing to put

Ahh my old buddy Zippy the cute little 3 lb kitty he would hunt anything anytime was amazing the things we would find outside the door in the morning we had to find a farm for him cause all the dogs in thr hood were terrified of him
