The snow finally receded enough for us to resume walking the countryside after a few weeks of walking closed roads . . . .

Below, Keeper explores the shores of Chain Lakes. In mid-April, we'll probably stop coming here until about mid-June, the ice turning dangerous but also we don't want any "accidents" with baby ducks and baby geese and babies in general which inhabit these shores in those months.
