Please check out their site at www.ncf.ca/animal-defence, a non-profit org. dedicated to lobbying both levels of gov't and newspapers, exposing agencies not opposed to animal cruelty and promoting campaigns and funding for all types of animal welfare (feral-cat agencies, bans on circus animal performances, spay/neuter promoters, alternative research funds, etc.) and too many other causes to mention here. For a yearly membership of $10 you will receive newsletters/updates on said issues and what has been accomplished in the never ending battle for animal welfare.
