Hi guys :) trigger is 5months old now and he does some humping, lately he has been doing it alot ,,, I know its almost time to get him fixed or ask a vet if maybe we can get him in sooner if it becomes a problem.
my question is I guess he was doing his mad humping to his dog bed in the living room ,,, when I look over ( I was in the kitchen ) trigger was there on the stairs with his ears down and his body all hunched up with his private out and hard.... the disturbing part of this is it looked like to much of his private was out and it looked like his balls where out as well ,, it was very swollen and like I said his balls looked like they where out as well,, he tried to walk over to me and man the cries that came out of him .. well you get the picture... it seemed like it took forever for his member to go back in but he cried the whole time.. he is very quiet and walking a little bull legged,,,

..... is this normal? sorry for the novel and thank you in advance for reading and hopefully helping me understand what just happened :)

Sounds like he got a little too excited. Harley did this. grossed me out, but normal, balls were swollen too.

It's normal, ladyjett, and not too uncommon in young, unfixed males. Had there been a female involved, there would have been a 'tie'--the odd anatomy you noted is part of the mechanism for the tie. Just make sure you keep him from any fertile (in heat) fems until he's fixed because it sounds like he's fully capable of siring a litter. But otherwise, no worries. :D

I always have the hardest time finding my thread with the reply s.. Thanks guys... and yes I sooo understand the grossed out reaction.. I was actually scared to go near him at first .. but if you guys say its normal then I am satisfied with that and greatly relieved... for those who don't know this is my very first dog.. have 5 cats but never owned a dog in my life so I am a doggie newbie :pawprint: and this site is a life saver for me

poor guy is on my lap .. ^.~ tuckered himself out I guess :D
