I feel bad for him, bad time of the year but we didn't realize his coat was so matted... C'mon spring. Makin-Trax Canine Care here in St. Albert did a great job on him. Washed, shaved and ears done for $52.00. He was there all day too.

Before - got his teeth into a feather boa.

Poor thing is hairless except for his ears and tail now...

Very cute!!!!! Don't tell him he looks pretty in pink! :o

$52.00? Prices must be higher out west......I only pay $35.00 for bath, cut, groom, ears, nails.

I think I saw her mention it was in St Albert, AB., that's why, the rich and famous live there rather than Edm.

I'm sure he feels better but he's freezing his little tail off now. Shivvers most times even with the thick sweater on. Be glad when he grows out some more.

$35.00 is very cheap for a groom. Tia used to go to the vet for a cut alone and that was $75.00, no nails or ears cleaning.

Nothing rich about living here Love4himies, we're in the older area of st. albert.

WOW! $75.00!!! Have you ever been tempted to try and groom Rufus yourself? I thought about it with Buster and Harley but got too nervous.

yep, i'm going to keep him groomed from now on, be awhile til he needs it tho. Will never be that long and shaggy again... He was just too matted for me to handle and needed a professional touch. Even with the proper shears they managed to nick him twice (but very small).

I'm already getting him used to the clippers, he's actually getting used to me petting him with them and he stays put.

That's great that you are getting him used to the clippers right away. Also, play around with his feet and ears and face so he gets used to you grooming. He's a real cutie!!! :lovestruck:
