15 grand is a lot to just toss out there - who has that kind of money so readily available?

Criminals out there will see this story as an opportunity. Watch people of means and their dogs, and wait for the right moment to pounce. Then make up some lame tale and walk away with money.

*sigh*

There's a news conference on this sometime this morning. I wonder if they're going to make any arrests in this case.

Just thought I'd post here for those who don't read the lost and found posts, to say thank you to the folks here at pets.ca. There are so many kind, and caring folks here. A reporter from the Globe and Mail called me yesterday and had been to this site and commented what a great site it is and she commented on the support and help that folks with lost pets get from the memebers here.
She is going to be doing a story on some of the forgotten pets who haven't had the $15,000.00 reward to help to find them. She will be making reference to the pets.ca site where she found those of us with missing dogs and what compassionate, caring folks are members here.
So :thumbs up to all of you for making this site what it is...a caring community of pet lovers willing to help with your support, your knowledge and your caring. Again my thanks to all of you.

This story smells a little fishy when I first saw it and that's why I shared it here. And we all like happy ending stories.
I'm glad the owner has the resources to get the ball rolling. If I were in his shoes, I'd have to get a 2nd mortgage to post that kind of reward. Without a sizable reward, the crooks won't take the bait.
