He's one of our two gerbils. The kids call this one "Burbel Brown"

he is a cutie:) do you have to watch the kitty around him? we did when we had our little guy ...they were always trying to stand guard around him hehe but we made sure he was safe... and lived out his full gerbil life

Oddly enough - neither Butterscotch nor Pugsley really pays much attention to the gerbil cage. Every once in a while, they'll go and sniff it, but that's about it.

Gerbils have tails. Actually, the tail is as long as the body, if not a bit longer.

Cute pic..Mine is all grey with a white spot on his head and the cat absolutely loves to hunt the poor thing. We had to get a fully covered cage so the cat can't stick her paws into it. After we got a pup that problem was solved, the cat hunts the gerbil and the dog hunts the cat...

Long tail, Frenchy, but it's not a bald tail. It has lovely fur on it! :thumbs up

Very handsome gerbil, Kashi. :lovestruck: I've always loved gerbils. They're such homebodies!

And our old hamster, Charlie.
Sadly, old age took Charlie from us a few months ago - and the gerbils now inhabit the cage that Charlie lived in.
