I now bestow the Royal name of HRH Alice the Cutie upon your moms new baby,,,,, What a little beauty.

February 17th, 2008, 10:44 PM
*snort* you couldnt pry her outta my moms arms with a crow bar.

so here is the update!

she went to the vet again. the new vet (of which has yet to prove his worth to ME) syas she does NOT have hip or knee problems, they will work themselves out with proper nutrition. she WILL be a little spay footed but nothing serious. he said she is up to 16lbs (from 13 last week) and looks very very good... as you guys can see. :lovestruck: she was a TOTAL ham today (to continue with the pig jokes. )

mom and i had a BIG talk about proper pup nutrition. she brought home S****** D*** Puppy. i made it *quite* clear this-
Ground Whole Grain Corn, Chicken By-Product Meal, Soybean Meal, Animal Fat
was *not* ok for the first... 4 ingredients. i made another plea for Canidae (since she can get it on the way home from work) and i think it finally sunk in. we also talked about how she is doing a wonderful job of socializing her. she takes her everywhere possible. potty training is coming along wonderfully, kennel training is also coming along well. she is feeding her a supplement along with some super yummy sausagey treat for recall.

all in all, i couldnt have asked for a better home. im sure she is really feeling like Alice In Wonderland and you know, my mom has needed somethign to take care of too. i think its a good match. :)

omg, adorable pics!!!!!

February 18th, 2008, 06:56 AM
Awww,more pics,Mister is such a good boy,he too looks really good:dog:
I am relieved Alice does not have any serious problems with her legs and I am sure, she could not have a better home than with your mom.
I just hope we will continue to see Alice's progress, which means lots of pics, whenever you have the chance.
Does mom live far away??

February 18th, 2008, 07:55 AM
we will see if she has issues with her legs or not later i guess. the vet mom took her too just lost 15 pups due to parvo. there was some talk about not keeping the place clean?? not sure yet. she didnt know (nor did i) that THAT was the 'parvo vet' who is currently under some serious scrutiny.

my mom lives within 15 minutes of here, not sure yet (even after all these years) if thats a good thing or not!! LOL

Mister is doing quite well, he has calmed down a bit but still shows our lack of socializing him as a pup with his rambunctiousness at everything out of the norm. we try to take him to a new situation every week, whether its the vets office, petco, park, whatever but we havent made much headway.

otherwise he is doing wonderful! he is healthy, learning... i need to look into some food management for his possible thyroid issue but we have been busy out this way so it might have to wait another week or so.

i *promise* to keep you guys posted ok?? AND get more pics up of my fuzzy butts. i have tons, just need to edit them and slap them up. :)

How lucky can a dog be? When you think of where she might have ended up - churning out litters for a byb or subject to the whims of an angry - um - adolescent - this is a flat-out miracle. :thumbs up to you and your mum.

February 18th, 2008, 08:58 AM
I love the pics.... Nothing like the "you wanna play" position... Ooooo puppy face!!! So adorable. Doncha just wish they could stay like that...sometimes???? :cloud9:

February 18th, 2008, 09:38 AM

February 19th, 2008, 07:06 AM
Thanks for the update, W4R. I am just astounded at the difference in Alice in such a short time.

February 19th, 2008, 08:42 AM
Mister.... Mister... lemme tell you... that one is really working on a butt kicking. yesterday he launched himself off the back deck. never, in his entire life, has he stepped foot off the back porch and yesterday he decided a squirrel was just too much to resist. he is banished from the back porch for a week. if he gets down again, we will ahve to put a gate up.

ive also been finding doggy foot prints in my bathtub. to get TO the bathtub he has to go through our bedroom... which is a BIG BIG no no!!! he is only doing it when we arent looking. :frustrated: he KNOWS he shouldnt be in there. :yell:

dorky dog!

Missus Alice is quite happy. she was really excited to come over. made me feel speshel that she was excited to see ME. :lovestruck:

WOW....she is looking so much better. :highfive: :lovestruck: I like the name Alice too. :thumbs up And, I hope you can convince your mom to switch her to Canidae. :fingerscr

February 23rd, 2008, 02:05 AM
Wow, what a difference in such a short time, she looks great :thumbs up.

February 23rd, 2008, 11:01 AM
haha Canidae was easy, now if i could get her to supplement the occasional raw meat!!! im happy with Canidae though.

mom says she is potty training well, mom's training anyway! she has to walk her ALL the way out to the far side of the yard and wait her out because she only tinkles a little (ground and air is 'chilly' you know ) and then runs back in the house to go on the warm floor!! she LOVES her kennel, eats ANYTHING food, stalks with the stiffest unstalking legs ever!! LOL!! when she gets really interested in somehting, her ears perk up and touch over her forehead like the brim of a hat. looks like a bunny. :) i have to go pick my son up after we move some furniture this afternoon and bring back some pics for you. i also have some really cute ones of MY fur babies AND skin babies.
