Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Jess, and my dog Cocoa.

She's a lab mix, but I'm also hoping to get help in figuring what else she may be mixed with. Fortunately, I have pictures of her parents (who are owned by my aunt). The father is a lab/Australian shepherd mix (or so we're told), and the mom is a mystery dog.

Cocoa is about 2 years old, dark brown with a black stripe on her back, and was born with a stub tail. (There were 6 puppies in the same same litter, and 4 of them were born without tails). Cocoa's extremely active and very intelligent.

Anyway, here are some pictures. Hopefully they are helpful!

Hi Phoozles! Thank you for the welcome. I will let Cocoa know that someone else thinks she's adorable! :)

I forgot to add that I've been told that Cocoa looks like a Doberman, but I don't think that either of her parents do. I saw a Doberman puppy the other day though and I see a similarity in the shape of the bodies, but not in the face.

She looks alot like my Diego, who is almost 3years. I was told he was border collie lab mix. He has also been compared to a Doberman. Diego has a long curly tail and is not brown, but black with a white spot on the chest like your Cocoa. He is also a little taller, but they seem to have the same eyes and nose ears and face shape. As soon as I can figure out how to transfer the pictures I have from my album on the computer to this site than I will be able to show a picture. He has been an incredible dog and when I hear the saying "man, or woman for that matter, best friend" I can agree whole heartedly. He was incredibley easy to train and in my eyes he can do no wrong. (although, I am sure they may be some who beg to differ)

Hello and welcome! It's so nice that you posted pictures so we don't have to hound you for them :D

I have no idea what mix Cocoa may be - but who cares - she looks adorable..
