Elevated globulin & total protein in feline

I was just wondering if elevated globulin and slightly elevated total protein could mean ANYTHING else besides FIP, in your opinion? When googling elevated feline globulin, it seems that the only thing that comes up is FIP. Don't know if it's because that's basically all it could mean or because that's the most common thing.

The vet says FIP is very likely but he's still not so sure because 1. My cat has always been healthy until now, 10 months of age, 2. He is still eating, and 3. He has no fever.

Thanks.

I read somewhere that an A:G ratio of less than 0.8 is another indicator of FIP. I'm not sure what that means. Does anyone know how to figure it out? Is it just G divided by A? Thanks.
