I cut my babies quick!

I was cutting Vlad's nails and accidentally cut too much. I felt horrible! I put on some powder that came with my clippers, to keep the nail from bleeding too much.

He's okay, and luckily I didn't cut that deeply.

But I felt like such an idiot and such a terrible mommy!

I've been cutting their nails every two weeks, but now I'll just do it weekly. That way I can just cut the tips and not worry about cutting too far down.

Your baby will live...and you ARE a good mommy! If I had a dollar for every time I made a nail bleed....... and I hope I'm a good mommy too! I worry about this EVERY time I trim, and I think everyone does. It happens.... you move on. :D

I felt like he would never forgive me.

But I gave him a treat and he touched his little nose with mine.:cloud9:

I've done this with Jesse twice and both times I was in tears. She had no concept I even did anything. They truly are amazing aren't they? :cloud9:

They are amazing. And to just forgive you so easily.

Had I done something like that to a person, they'd be giving me the evil eye and constantly reminding me I nearly cut their finger off.

But he just meowed, and allowed me to put that powder on him to stop the bleeding.

Aw... Vlad is such a trooper. I did that to Smoke once and she yowled so loud I put her down and let her keep the rest. I felt like such a monster... but she came right back for treats and pets minutes later.:o
