Toiletting in the Snow

Puppy-boy is getting bigger but the two feet of snow we received last night is over his back. And he doesn't like to do his toilet on the pee paths we make, using them instead to access fresh snow areas. His little face was so comical this morning as he looked up at the banks, over his head, clearly questionning how he was going to get up through all that deep fresh snow to do his business. Back under the trees it's not quite so deep and he seemed very relieved (pun intended) to find a shallow spot under a big balsam fir. I think it is going to take us most of the day to move our snow, our neighbour with the broken leg's snow and our other neighbour with the broken hand's snow.

You're a good neighbor, Longblades. :D Good luck with the snow removal.

And good luck to puppy-boy! :dog:

The snow is not as deep back here, maybe 15 inches or so. He's deciding if it is too deep and gave up and went further back. You can't really see him very well. It is so hard to take photos of black critters.

Hmmm, and now I see where the blue scoop I was looking for went to. LOL

Aw, Puppy! I feel your despair! :grouphug:

What a cutie, Longblades! :lovestruck:

Glad you found your scoop! :D Got anything else missing? You could post more pictures and see if they turn up! :p No, no ulterior motive in that suggestion

Aw... even my Buddy like that picture of your puppy... he tried to sniff him then gave the screen a couple pats!

That is so cute the snow is so straight it almost looks like he is contemplating climbing stairs!

And kudos to you for being such a good neighbour... you are a dying breed! :thumbs up

Hubby gets a little overzealous with his snow-blower,he does the sidewalk and a neighbors driveway, she is a resent widow and very appreciative(not THAT very:laughing:).
Hubby just LOVES his snowblower:laughing:

Thanks, we are pretty pleased with him ourselves. I just had him out again, he is going a little stir crazy today without his regular walks, because we are busy with the snow, and I actually measured that bank and it is 20 inches high. When he does attempt to cross the deep snow he has to almost swim more than run.

It's actually the OH who does the neighbours' with the snowblower. I can barely handle the blower so do the smaller spots with the shovel or scoop. When I was a young thing just starting out in the world on my own I once lived in a rural area the winter that area got twice their average annual snowfall. The snowbanks lining the walk to the house I rented were five feet high. If a neighbour man with his snowblower had not helped out we never would have been able to handle all that snow. Now it's our turn.
