These chickens were taken from either a food or egg facility and rehomed, but have behavior issues and were plucking out their feathers. A woman knitted sweaters for the chickens so they could go scratch outside.

Oh that is so weird and wonderful. And so British - or used to be. Abuse is way up in that formerly animal-loving nation. And then there are the Brigitte Hawleys. Ingrid, the Peta CEO, kept a sick chicken on her bed.
Who ya gonna call?

They really are functional--even allows them to exercise their wings! What a great idea for those poor hens! :thumbs up

What a cute story. I do feel sorry for the poor chickens, how they live in cramped quarters and no sunlight. Another type of animal (bird) that is exploited by us humans !!!
