Alopecia in dogs

Hi I am new to this Forum does anyone have any experience in Alopecia in dogs my poodle/terrier is loosing his coat but he isn't scratching or appears to have any other symtoms, which is why I think it maybe Alopecia which appears to be common in Poodles ?

Maybe it's something else that can be dealt with. What does the vet say?

Does your dog have any red colored bumps in any of the areas where it is losing hair? My boxer started losing hair when she was about 4 months old and then little red bumps apeared in the area. It turns out she had demodectic mange. Its not contagous to other animals or people.Good luck
