I am happy to be here. I found your site today and thought it might be a good place to talk to other cat owners whose cats had nerve problems resulting in lame legs. My large cat had a bad reaction to anesthesia and lost use of his back left leg about 2.5 weeks ago.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat, Catb-lu. :grouphug: There are a lot of knowledgable cat people on the board (I'm not, unfortunately, one of them) who can maybe offer you some advice, or at least shared experience. If you start a new thread in the health forum, you'll likely get more responses. :thumbs up

Meanwhile, welcome to the board!

Neither am I :o , but wanted to give you a warm welcome all the same, Catb-lu :) .

The anaesthetic was given in the affected leg? I've heard that nerve damage takes a long time to heal, so don't despair.
And welcome, from one cat lover to another.
Although I just watched 'The Queen' again tonight and I really really want a corgi.

There are a few people who have written about nerve damage in their kitties - the health thread could lead you there..

Welcome, and we'd love to see pictures!

Thanks, everyone! I am learning how to use the board and am working pt AND keeping the cats apart...which is practically full-time! Ha. Pictures in the next few days.

Take care!
