The doggie does look content and comfortable.
You should not "assume" (there is that word again) no one likes you. It is hard to dislike a person when you don't know them - some may not agree with how you present some information but frankly I don't have time to read all the back and forth BS, no matter who is writing it. ;)

One question...can you get the weather channel with those rabbit ears?

Heidi...if you can lose the attitude I can see you being a great debator and contributer to this board...

If everyone agreed all the time, life would be very boring. Healthy debates are a great way of finding out new information that may be useful, arguements cause nothing but tension and goes no where fast.

*please adjust those ears a bit, reception is coming in fuzzy*

Yes, they were all so cute. How is he doing after he got fixed and all of his shots and things? I forgot to ask about that the other day I have been thinking about him and was just wondering how he took all of that. How did he do when you took him into the vet? :D Hey, does he shed really bad?

heidiho
June 9th, 2004, 03:22 PM
I brush him everyday,he loves it,so i dont know if that makes a difference or not with the shedding, but no he doesnt shed bad at all.He is doing fine, vet gave him frontline for ticks, said his limping was probably just from playing a little to rough,he said from the time i dropped him off there til when i picked him back up,he probably played the whole time.I took him to the e room sunday ,cause he just would not wake up,so they said since i was taking him to vet the next day,he should be fine,so the vet said i really didnt need to do bloodwork and x-rays,he just said he was worn out and needed some serious sleep. :D :D :D

Karin
June 9th, 2004, 03:57 PM
I could use some myself so I can relate....to the sleep part only, not the ears. Just to clarify...

 never think we dont like anyone, we all can get a little snappy and defensive once in a while, we are all really passionate spirited people and sometimes that causes waves, but it does make for some spirited discussion and debate, and that is good for all of us, excersise the mind and all that, no worries lady, ok. :D
karin is tired heidi, and she can use some sleep ;) . that is what she meant.
oh what a spunky chicken, he can come to me anytime. what a kissy face, you brush him often, charlie has GSD coat and i am lazy and only brush her once or twice a week and boy do we have alot of hair around here, everyone that visits leaves with a piece of her. he must have a nice oil in his coat, brushing stimulates the good oils in coats. hey, will he grow into those ears, when charlie was pup people said she would grow into ears and feet so do they i wonder?? give him big sloppy kisses from me and wonderdog :) :D

You have a very cute dog. He seems lucky to have you, and you seem happy to have him also

Karin

That reminds me..*note to self, brush Ciara's teeth tomorrow*

She needs a bath too. As for a hair dyer...

EEEEKKKKKKK! Run for your lives! THE EVIL BLOW MACHINE! Not to be confused with an EVIL SUCK MACHINE!

The evil suck machine (vacuum cleaner) is how I keep Ciara off of the morgue slab, (couch) when I am not at home. Ever since my brother installed my new morgue slab, hmm couch last year, Ciara tends to hurt herself jumping up. I need to get rid of it, I can't agree with steel bars as a part of home furnishings. Last night she wedged her 85 lb. butt underneath the slab with the first crack of thunder. It is less than a foot high too, I hope I have her "escape route" blocked now. Whew!

We are sooooooo happy....Yeah he hates the vacuum cleaner,he is getting a little better when i have it out..He also hates motorcycyles,if we are outside and there is one parked he will bark and bark at it..............

Karin, you are one crazy lady :D :D If I want my cats to disappear for an hour or more,I bring out the"evil suckmachine"or leafblower, lawnmower or any machine..... :D

my dear charlie is a bikers gal, she loves bikes. we have alot of friends that ride. if she hears a triumph of norton she starts jumping. she is the only dog i know that can recognise a 1973 bonville triumph, if she hears one she gets really excited and thinks our friend phil is coming (he is not, we live far apart now), silly girl. :D lol, i can just picture a dog barking at a standing bike, oh silly boy :D
she used to like the vacume didnt mind it, some idiot once came over when i was vacuming and got down on his knees and started barking at the vacume, moron, so now she doesnt like it and leaves the room when i do it god there are some idiots out there. as for lawn mower, i have to yell at her to move, i could just run it right over her, lazy bugger.
hey do you guys use normal toothpaste or doggy stuff??

heidiho
June 10th, 2004, 05:08 PM
As for the toothpaste,it started when he was about 3 months old,i would be brushing my teeth and he would sit there and one day i let him lick the brush and he loved it,would always be there when i brushed my teeth,he would just lick it,i finally had to get him his own brush and i get dog toothpaste i heard the human toothpaste wouldnt be good for him...Th emotorcycle thing is so adorable,he just barks and barks, and also fire hydrants kind of freak him out,go figure a dog that doesnt like fire hydrants................. :p :p

I use C.E.T Enzymatic Dentifrice Toothpaste to brush Ciara's teeth. Malt flavor right now but she prefers the chicken flavored one more.

Never use human toothpaste. You can use baking soda & water too.
Ciara loves to have her teeth brused, she knows she can drink the rinse water afterwards..(yukums)

June 10th, 2004, 05:35 PM
No,i never brushed his teeth with the human, just let him have a lick or to,then realized i need to get him his own...His is poultry flavored...

owww, rinse water, gosh dogs are grose sometimes, but if it doesnt hurt, well!!! (just a litte grose for passing humans) lol. :D
used to brush charlies teeth, oh what a drama, even with the flavoured tooth past nope,it is not a volutary activity. i can make her do it but prefer not to put her through it and we both feel bad after(she cannot have bones ever due to an accident). but she has had oral problems before that required stitches so i think this may have put her off letting us into the mouth like that.. i asked the vet to scale them but he says it is not necessary, helloo, has he smelt that breath, could melt a flower i tell ya. but the vet keeps insisting i dont have a prob, hmmm, maybe he is just a little crazy (hey the man takes horse medication for his arthritis, mad i tell ya) :D but i do use those denta bones and stix and rawhide, pigs ear and the like to clean her teeth. broccoli stumps have replace bones in this house, she loooves them (or any other vege i can find at the time). i was told that if you feed dogs parsley it helps breath, well i tried and i cant tell difference. :D

Regardless of the nasty things we've said to each other, you do have a great looking dog. And I also have to say I love the pics of the desert. I've often thought that Phoenix would be a great place to live with almost no rain. I hate rain. Can't figure out why I like Vancouver so much since it's the rain capital of the planet!
Bob hates the vacuum cleaner until I turned it into a little game and chase him with it. Then it became fun.
One thing that he absolutely can't stand is skateboards. Rollerblades are fine, but if he sees someone skateboarding he goes crazy. Even the sound of the wheels will set him off. He pulls on the leash like you wouldn't believe.

Thank you bill and bob,he is my boy, well let me tell you,if you dont want rain,COME HERE,i cant remember the last time it rained, actually get tired of it being sunny every day,i love rain, there i s never a cloud in sight, well we do get good monsoons in the summer though, dust storms also,i just wish we had beach,he would love it....
