for the last couple days my one year old yorkie is not functioning. he's normally super hyper. now, he's lagging behind in his walks.

I looked closely at his body in case something was wrong and his eyes look irritated. His eyelids are red. in fact all around his eyes it's red.
he's not sneezing or coughing.
his bowls are harder and darker than normal.
i can't think of anything else out of the ordinary.
He's eating and drinking water normally.
Haven't been to the vet yet, if he's not better by the time I get home from work then I will go.

GO GO GOOO !!! RUN even!!

Not eating isn't tooooo bad, but not drinking is dangerous! Especially in as tiny a body as a Yorkie's!

Let us know what the vet says!

The OP says that he's eating and drinking normally.

I'd still go to the vet though - lethargy is not a good sign. When my pup acts a bit differently from his 'norm', I give it a day and then off to the vet - too many things may not show other symptoms we can see. One day could be just tired from too much play the day before, but more than that is usually a concern for me.

Let us know how he is!

Oops :D goofed. Oh well, not eating and drinking seemed more logically in thread with the rest of the post (OK, sorry excuse for reading crooked :frustrated: )

I would still take your pup to the vet - the red eyes would worry me.
