Now my computer is on the fritz

My laptop at home is giving me grief. My favorite software package for managing my pictures is acting up too. Worked on it some last night. Hubby is a tech so that sure helps. He cleaned up some stuff on it but that software has become corrupt somehow and needs to be removed and reinstallled. Hopefully tonight. I have another computer upstairs I can use, but I'd have to load the photo software on it too and I hate being confined to the upstairs to use the computer. My laptop has wireless internet so I can take it anywhere in the house I want.
No viruses or anything on it anyway, I didn't think there would be, I never download anything.
