Rick C December 29th, 2007, 06:28 PM A little higher elevation climbing with Abby & Keeper today . . . . . . about minus 8 Celcius and bloody breezy. We were in this place in September but all the snow has been scraped off by the wind. One can continue walking well into the distance on this ridge.
Below, Windy up there for Abby and Keeper . . .

Really, really, really windy says Abby (below)

Up there . . . . with Keeper (below) and the gravel road into this place way down there.

Below, something had left a scent on the tiniest of things for Keeper to find . . .

Below, in September I had pictured Abby here running through piles of snow . . . . now it's all blown away.

Hey, they have four legs, I only have two. I'm the one at risk of toppling over, although I do have the advantage of opposable thumbs.
Seriously, don't fall for the optical illusions. I don't let them get close to serious cliffs.
The one time this summer I had to get on all fours and use a rope someone had left behind, those mutts went screaming down a cliff and left me in their dust. I was embarrassed for all of humanity.
Revenge came only later when I had to push Keeper by the bum up the hill. If that sounds like actual revenge. :yuck::loser:
Thank you, thank you. Try the veal. I'm here all night.

growler~GateKeeper December 29th, 2007, 10:25 PM In the first shot I see the wind blowing Abbys' coat all over but not Keepers'....was it constant wind everywhere or just blowing in places?
Love the small scent for Keeper shot :cloud9:

A gusty, intermittent half-hurricane would be a good description. A wild place.
That's the way it often is there. That's good in the early summer as this can be a very, very buggy place at that time of year. Not so good in the winter on account of the "freezing to death" thing.
