Belle playing ball finally! She didn't start playing until this past week. After watching her pups play, she decides to get in the middle of things, claim all the toys as hers and promptly carries them away.
Here's her playing outside today with a new ball. It's solid, not a "real" tennis ball.
Where'd it go??
Weee! This is fun! Oh wait, what's that over there?

Vet thinks she's approximately 2 years old.
Yeah, it melts my heart to see her happy, especially remembering how she was the first day we got her and she looked so sad. I'm glad to be able to help her, it's an honor.
I think she found some yellow snow and that's what caught her attention.

"Watch out where the Huskies go,
Don't you eat that yellow snow"
Lol, an old Zappa song, it's all I rememvber of it :D
She does look happy. I missed the beginning of her story though ... what happened to her? Any idea of the breed ? (looks like an Irish setter mix to me from the video, but ...)
She's really pretty!

She lived outside tied to a tree on a very short tether. She was malnourished, anemic, yeast-ridden and pregnant. We had her only 1 week before she gave birth. Around 15 people (maybe more, I dunno) were concerned about her well-being for about a year. That's how long she lived outdoors. The current pup litter isn't her first. The people ganged up on the owner and convinced her to give up the dog. We met a woman in a neutral location and brought Belle home on Nov 6th. Just in the nick of time really.
One of her pups still lives at that house. They are working to get that dog a new home as well. I don't know what's been done lately. Everytime we pass near there we look for the other pup outside but can never see him.

She is playing like a true golden - careful, the tennis ball could be come an obsession and then each and every time you go shopping you will be required to bring more balls home!!! (FYI - 3 packs on for $1.49 at Canadain Tire this week tee hee)
She looks so good, as the puppies grow so will he playfulness! Wait until they are all gone and she has stored energy...better warn the kitty.
