Dracko and his new booties

December 11th, 2007, 09:27 PM
I bought Dracko a pair of booties today to wear when it's really cold out. They were called Muttlucks, I think. I'm not actually sure I like them as the bottom are leather and he keeps wiping out on ice or unlevel ground with snow.

Anyway, here are some pictures after I put them on his the first time.

Here's a quick video my nephew shot. I had just put the booties on him and was trying to get some shoes on to take him outside before he tried to take them off. In the end he really didn't mind them. The only problem I had was how slippery they were. I think it's funny how you can hear the steps he takes. (

Poor Dracko ! he's too cute. Maybe you could put some velcro under them to make them less slippery ?

Don't worry , he'll get used to it , if his family stops laughing at him

I know. Poor guy. I couldn't stop laughing at the way he was taking HUGE steps.

Aw, poor guy! :D

We've tried booties in the past and had the same problem with the dogs wiping out on slippery ground. :frustrated: Now we've pretty much given up on booties...

Wish I could download video. :frustrated: I always had trouble not laughing when our guys were getting used to new boots. Draco looks afraid to move in the still shots! I'm glad he finally got used to them. :dog:

I'm not sure if he "got used to them" or was just so excited to go for a w-a-l-k that he decided not to care for the moment.

He was so good when we got back to stand there and let me take them off, too.

Poor Drako!! :( :grouphug: Hope he gets liking those boots soon. Rumour has it we are in for a tough haul this year snow wise.
I have tried booties a few times on my poodle. She hates them and refuses to move once they are on.

That was too funny but poor Dracko does not seem to be impressed. :D I would put duct tape on the soles so they aren't so slippery. :o

Cute pics and video . There is another company that makes dog boots that look to be much better for slippery surfaces .
