Adding A New Puppy

Hi, I have a 8 Month old female Standard Poodle, on the 15th of June we are adding another 3 month female Standard Poodle. Is there anyway I can prepare for this? I've never owned 2 dogs before let alone puppies. My 8 month old standard is completely trained so I'm hoping that it won't be that hard. I will gladly take any advice any one could give me. My dog is not dominate, she behaves great.

one thing that comes to mind is for a couple of weeks give your current dog a little less attention than usual before you bring the new one home, once the new dog arrives you can go back to giving your current dog the same amount of attention that it has enjoyed previously. This way it will help to reinforce that the new dog is a good thing and not a competetor for your attention.
