I recently adopted a four month old kitten from the SPCA. He is very sweet and affestionate. The only problem I'm having is his interest in our Budgie. Any suggestions on how to keep him away from the cage? I do spray him with water but that only chases him away briefly. Any tried and true methods or suggestions would be appreciated!

Keep the cage high enough that the kitten can't reach it and only correct him if he jumps at the cage.
My cats will sit and watch the cockatiel and the fish tank for what seems to be hours sometimes, but they know jumping at either is a no no. Takes a long time, cats can be very persistant, so keeping the cage out of reach is important until they get the message.
