Eighty dogs were brought up from the States Frenchy and ...

"All told, 120 to 130 dogs were adopted since Tuesday evening and that's a record for us," said Glorina White, manager of adoptions and animal care yesterday. The SPCA averages about 200 animal adoptions a month, more than any other in North America.

"Our website hits per day more than tripled from 30,000 to 100,000 since Tuesday."

I was very familiar with the long termer who was mentioned in this article, a Shepherd mix named "Brandy." Very sweet old girl. I love how these dogs helped find our local ones good homes :thumbs up They also help out with shelters in Northern Ontario (Timmins, especially).
