First off, thank you everyone for your advice earlier in the year.

I just thought I would give a small write up on my experience of bringing Aija (my cat) home with me from Korea in August.

All she needed was her rabies shot. She travelled cargo and I arranged extra long layovers in Seoul and Vancouver so we could hang out together between flights. In Seoul she wouldnt even come out of her kennel. By the time we got home to Regina she was excited to jump out of her kennel and was good to go!

I travelled Korean Air to Vancouver and West Jet home. I read in this forum that WestJet was good with pets and I must agree. They even cared enough to ask her name and put it on her tag so that the crew could talk to her when they saw her.

My original plan was to leave her here with my parents seeing as I was unsure of my future plans. Now I have realized that she is too important for me to leave here and I want to bring her back with me again to Korea. I am constantly reminded how much this little one means to me. It is amazing to me ***

It is amazing how attached we get to our furkids. :lovestruck: But, then they give us so much in return. :cloud9: Aija is getting to be quite the world traveller. :D Are you teaching in Korea?

I am glad all went well traveling across the world with your pet. It can be very stressful on the little furry things.

Yes, Westjet is my favourite airline to fly for the few times that I do fly.
