What a sweetie! :lovestruck:
So what is the story on this little one, erykah? You thinking of a new addition? :fingerscr The more the merrier, I always say. :D

Kinda a long story, but the shorter version, she is my dog sitters dog ( she has her, a little male the same age and another female thats 10 mos) with 2 having their ears wrapped and the older one just recovering from an absess I took one of the pups to ease the stresses at her house, just for a few days.
That and this little gurl has a show career ahead of her and once she finsishes her CH's (can and Am), I will be taking her into training and the ring for Obedience titles, kind of a group effort.

Oh, wow! That sounds like fun! :thumbs up The showing part, I mean. :D
I wondered how it was going with your sitter. You and your crew evidently hit it off pretty well! Great that you were able to help her with her present dilemma, too. A win-win situation--for us, too, since we get to see the pics! :D
I hope her older one with the abcess recovers quickly! :fingerscr

The absess one has the draining tubes in and things seem to running smoothly.
Its just difficult for her right now well, with a satelite dish ( abcess one has a cone) and 2 rabbit ears running around her house, chewing one each others wrappings and what not.
Needless to say she probably has some wiked tv reception lol
Hopefully this little one here will end up a "heavily" titled dog once she is an adult. My personal hopes for her is a CDX, CGN, and perhaps even tracking titles. ( sitter wants to do tracking with the 3 of them, I may do OB with the 2 younger ones and the breeder will be handling for CAN and AM CH's for all 3)
Gonna be fun, lets me into the show world so I can get known and perhaps then my Akita dream will come true because then the breeders will believe my ethics....

I hope it all works out for you! :fingerscr Sounds like it'll be an enjoyable adventure. :D
Have you done any ring work before? When will the youngsters be old enough to start?
October 7th, 2007, 02:16 PM
I have never done any ring work lol, thats the kicker. Me and Kita start Obedience this week ( for fun and hey even if Kita could get a title that would be great too... we'll have to wait and see what the future holds there.)
The youngins are only 3.5 months right now so another 2.5 months before anything really starts.
I have had crash courses in stacking and walking with them but as far as any actual experience in the ring... none.
Its just good to have some exceptional lines to work with ( very well known lines that are highly saught after by many Boxer breeders)
I'm so happy for the sitter, she was given a chance of a lifetime and in turn so was I in a way.
I'm looking forward to it all. Unfortunately we cant start any real obedience training until her Ch's are finished, the last thing you want in a show ring is a dog that sits:eek: Right now its just time for some basic manners and house breaking... as well as getting accustomed to different environments.

Kita's gonna feel so special for gettin' to go to special classes with Mom! I predict a championship is in the works! :thumbs up
And what a great way to get into showing dogs! This could be the start of a very long and successful collaboration with your sitter! Is she just going to be showing the dogs, or is she co-owner of them, as well?
October 7th, 2007, 02:28 PM
She is co-owning all 3 with the breeders and me and her have split the co-own of this little gurl.
They all live with her, even the one who is 1/3 mine so, we split costs of handling/shows for Conformation for her, medical care, and Ob classes and then the expenses of the competitions themselves, its sort of confusing to type out. lol
October 7th, 2007, 02:38 PM
Not so confusing! I got it, anyway, and I'm not known for my quick grasp of finances :D
That's really great, erykah! You have got to be on :cloud9:!
