This past weekend a friend of mine came down to stay with us while she trialed in agility at a near-by kennel (Royackers). We got some pics of the 4 dogs playing of course!

Ronan gets taken down by Smudge the 5 month old Cocker puppy while OC stands idly by and watches LOL

And Husky ears make the best chew toys!

Great pics. :thumbs up As you know I adore your dogs and can't get enough pics of them. :cloud9: Haven't seen pics of Cider & Smudge for awhile....they're looking good. :lovestruck: Do OC and Ronan play like huskies with other dogs? And, how do you get them to leave your flowers alone? :D

Rainbow, OC is incredibly good about judging what type of play suits each individual dog. He is actually the perfect "puppy-sitter" as he tailors his play to what they other dog/pup can handle but yet if the other dog ever over-steps their bounds he can give a correction without going so over board that he freaks the pup out or hurts them. For example we were at the dog park one day and a Dane pup (that was already taller than him at only 6 months!!!) decided to lock on to OC as the best dog in the park and would constantly follow him around to bark loudly in his ear. OC was obviously unamused by getting barked at in the ear but put up with it for a while. The pup was persistant about it and finally OC turned, snarled and clicked his teeth twice in front of the pup's face. It looked mean and scary but OC had full control over himself, knew exactly where the pup was and had no intentions of making contact (biting). That was all the pup needed and it never barked in his ear again, instead they started playing chase and wrestling!

The dogs leave the flowers alone because they are not allowed to so much as set a paw in the flower garden which is why we have that little white fence (visual border). If the dogs so much as place a paw within the flower bed they get a verbal correction and if they dont remove themselves then we physically remove them. Once out of the flower bed they get verbal praise. Its hilarious if one of their toys lands in the flower bed because they will place their paws just outside of the flower bed and stretch as far as they can to very carefully pick up the toy with minimal contact to the flowers and as soon as the toy is in their mouth they leap away from the flower bed like they just got burnt! LOL

Chico, thanks! I love my boys :lovestruck:

Lucky, hehe the only reason that picnic table is in our yard is for the dogs. They *love* being able to get up high on something to survey "their" land so instead of trying to keep them off the glass patio table, we keep the wooden picnic table there for them. They are more than happy to stay away from the glass patio table because they have their wooden picnic table.

TMac, hehehe Ronan was sooooo good with the puppy. He came to me with issues, lots of issues, which we have obviously had great success working through and I am soooo proud of him!

3M, hehhee the boys certainly do keep me on my toes!

Growler, Ronan was fantastic with the puppy. As a trainer it always makes one feel good to see efforts turn out successfully! MP had a great weekend earning 2 Qs and some placements.
