My latest cheap fix for my toilet paper issues with my unknown toilet paper destroying quad.....

In place for about 2 weeks now, so far so good.

lol Jim, they don't like it when they can't grab the paper easily, we'll see. You sound skeptical of my idea, lol? I can still hope, :)

not skeptical as much as aware of how clever 4 legged beasties can be>

We used to have a bathroom at the end of a long hall and occasionally I'd come home to find that our dog Evan had grabbed the end of the roll and run it all the way down the hall. He wasn't satisfied unless he could get it all off without tearing any sheets! :D What a goof ball! :dog:

I hear cats prefer to mound it up and then lie on it? :cat:

What is it about pets and toilet paper...?

Jim, I so agree! Mine are quite clever and very sneaky. I am just saying mine got bored with this...easier things to get into elsewhere. I like my TP where it needs to be, so if this works, I wanted to share.

I've actually given up and just put the TP on top of the medicine cabinet. So far they haven't seem much interested in what's up there. But this is a good idea. I may use that if the Dynamic Duo realize that round thing on top of the medicine cabinet is toilet paper.

I'm going to give it a shot, because I'm tired of forgetting I've got my toilet paper up high where I can't get to it once I've um...sat down.

I don't have a TP issue now, but one of my former cats used to unroll the TP in our ensuite if I did not get up at 6AM sharp on the weekends to feed him. He loved me though, I know this because he left it on the floor for me so I would have some to use when I woke up in a haze on the weekends:D.

Well, I am posting this with sadness.....the second application of my "fix" on the second roll of tissue (yes, one of us likes a little softer type of tissue) was an utter disaster today!!!!!! Roomie found her roll (almost a full roll) 1/2 destroyed and unrolled....I was so sad to know it didn't work for two dispensers! LOL. My roll on the other hand is still perfectly intact! Go figure.

If anyone else has tried this - successfully or not, let me know.

My cat could care less about toilet paper (so far lol) but that is such a good idea! My moms cats tear hers up everyday, I'll have to let her know!!! One question tho...how do YOU use the toilet paper? Do you have to take it off the roll? Sorry if this is a dumb question lol! Great idea tho!!!:thumbs up

dmc123
October 12th, 2007, 02:30 PM
I love Mikko,

The cut slot allows you to either lift it up to dispense the paper - or just slip it off and on whichever works best. It is so flexible I usually just lift it up.
