My 15 month old Cocker Spaniel, Cody, has recently developed what looks like a large pimple on the outside of his lower jaw. It is skin coloured, raised and hard to the touch. It does not seem to bother him at all, he's not scratching at it, nor does he pull away when I touch it. Any ideas as to what it is?

I had a dog that had several of those on his body. My vet looked at them and said they were cysts and was never concerned about them, of course, they never grew in size or got infected. Zack lived to be 15 years old and they never bothered them.

All lumps and bumps should ALWAYS be checked by a Vet ~ it could just as easily be cancer as it could be a blocked sebacious gland.
