Yep, my previously-bendyfooted-gal had a type of club hand (technically a club hand since it was on her foreleg, but it's easy to slip and I often refer to it as a club foot).

As for the costs...I never added them all up, but our vet was incredibly generous (i.e never charged us for overnight hospitalisation, rechecks, bandage changes, etc.), but I think it's somewhere in the realm of $4500 when all's said and done. (I try not to think about it too much).

But she's the most sweet, wonderful dog on the planet, and we can't imagine our lives without her. Worth every penny.

Thanks for finding that link, Cindy. You can check out her blog too (although life is pretty well back to normal now) http://jaidasjourney.blogspot.com There's pictures there of her post-op and still bendyfooted.

thanks

your dog looks just as happy now as it did before the surgery, which is awesome and mind blowing at the same time.
