I hope it's ok to mention a web link here but I found this non profit organization and was quite impressed about there effort to educate people about how to behave safely around dogs.... some great resources for teaching kids, adults, dog owners and non dog owners alike.
I'd love to know what some of you think about their info.

That's quite a website! There's so much information it will take a while to go through it but from my first look at it - it looks like it should be widely promoted for all existing and prospective dog owners!

I took a pop in and had a look and thought it was quite useful.
A lot of it was already stuff I try to teach my six year old as he doesn't understand sometimes that dogs aren't quite the same as humans.

I agree that all new dog owners or prospective owners should have to read this information before getting their dog.

I went through a few of the articles. Great information put forward in plain-English in a non-confrontational way ~ good reading.
