I'm trying to decide whether to give my younger dog (2 yoa) joint supplements. He doesn't have any known joint problems, but he is a large breed dog (GSD). I already give these supps to my older dog, mostly because of her TPLO surgery. But I haven't gotten any consistent info about giving these to a younger dog with no known joint problems.....I've heard some people say they give them as a preventative and others brush it off. If I should give them, what amount should I give?

Unless you suspect that she already has problems with her joints (or perhaps you know her lineage and there is early onset of arthritis, dysplasia amongst her parents & g.parents) I wouldn't bother for at least a few more years yet.

Thanks much. I didn't want to be neglectful, but since I don't know of any issues and his parents hips were good, I'll hold off. One less issue to deal with too. :)
