I have a 6 mth old male teckel and was wondering when is the best time to castrate him.

I would think at six months it is safe, but best to check with your vet.

Vets will neuter dogs at six months of age and some may neuter sooner. Welcome to btw ~ we would love to see pictures of your Doxie and hear more about him.

OH,it's a Doxie,I was wondering what a Teckel was,sounded like something exotic:laughing:

That's okay Chico I had to Google "teckel" to find out that a teckel is a hunting Doxie. :o

A hunting little Doxie,I have a hard time picturing that,but maybe those little legs are quicker than I think:laughing:

At my vet we start to do castrations and OVH at 6 mnts no sooner then that. most human sociteys will do it sooned to help with animal population. Amber
