Salivary gland cyst in cat?

Hello,
My kitty Tubby has a horrible cyst in his mouth I think it may be a bad tooth or maybe a Salivary gland cyst (because of the location), he has very very bad breath and drools a lot which has a bit of brown in it, every now and again when he eats he'll act like he's choking or there somethings stuck in his through but after that he'll start eating again, every time I try to look in his mouth he freaks out and runs away, I would take him to the vet but I truly don't have a dollar to my name because my husband is out of work due to a torn ACL, can you please please help, if need be I can post pictures.....

Also dose anyone know if there is any free vet exams in Springfield MO, maybe a collage or anything?
Thank you so very much-

Call all of your local vets and see if any will accept a payment plan... call the local HS or SPCA and see if they know of any rescues that will help with vet costs. Take your kitty ASAP. If there is trouble while eating it is a big problem!!!

I think the nearest Vet College is in Columbia, MO. And it won't hurt to post pictures, the vets here may be able to give you first aid type advice until you can arrange a vet visit.

I'd be worried about Tubby having stomatitis (http://www.dentalvet.com/vets/cats/feline_stomatitis.htm), which can be very painful indeed and really needs to be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. If you don't have the money, you might qualify for financial aid from IMOM (http://www.imom.org/fa/). Also, think about applying for CareCredit (http://www.carecredit.com/), which you may have to do anyway before IMOM will help. But please, get your kitty looked at. I guarantee he's in a lot of pain and could eventually stop eating, which would be disasterous. Good luck, and keep us updated!

Thank you so much for the replies, I'll definitely try IMOM, and check into a Missouri SPCA *sends hugs*:pawprint:
