Very watery stool in a new puppy

I've just brought home an 8-9 week old puppy from the lb. He is the first dog I've had in my adult life, so I'm a little nervous. He recieved his deworming and shots right before we left the lb. about 4 1/2 hours ago. When we got home he seemed fine and fairly energetic, but soon after he started having extremely watery stool every couple of hours. He is now extremely lethargic (although it could be from the shots and the playing and long walk we took a couple of hours ago.) He was woke himself up seemingly dry heaving a little while back. Is this something that should be freaking me out or is it just normal new puppy problems. I'm really worried here so please if you can help me, let me know.

Pick up your pup and get to a vet. Your puppy needs to see one ASAP.

Little puppies dehydrate very quickly. It's really important that he sees the vet.

This happened to my puppy when he was 12 weeks old. It turns out all the neighborhood dogs had picked up a virus. The vet felt he needed to be hydrated and he was hydrated via IV.
