We lost her on the 31th July morning around 9am-930am along Prince Of Wales Drive(bridge) near Hunt club(Ontario, ottawa). We had roofers coming on that morning and apparently she was terrified by the huge working noise they made. We let her out in the backyard for her normal routine and she found a hole among the fence and escape.

2 days later, we received a call from a lady in which she happened to saw a man pick her up and drove away. We have tried posting up pictures around our area, supermarkets, vets, adverts in the newspaper, emails to every animal hospitals, humane society etc. The man who picked her up made a phone call to 1 of the animal hospital, left his mobile number and name. However, this man remains a mystery as the numbers he gave does not work.

We have called up the police, and they refused to release his address. The police went to his home but no one was around. We missed her very badly. Her brother was crying for her everyday and he was pretty lonely by himself with no one to play with.

She has a white body, tan half-split full mask, short-legged, weighs around 3kg, 4 months old. No collar or tag/chip was on her.She is very friendly to people. If anyone had seen her , please gives us a call (613) 228 3339

We are not giving up hope...praying for a miracle to happen. :fingerscr

Poor puppy. Wonder why the man bothers to leave a number that doesn't work??

Hunt Club and Prince of Wales is in Ottawa, near the airport.

awww that's so sad.
Maybe the man accidentally mixed up two number in his phone number?>.or the receptionist recorded it down wrong.
Are the p olice going to go back until someone shows up at the house?

Sorry to hear what happened. Did you do a search on the mans name to see if you can find a land line phone number for him? Hopefully he will call the animal hospital again. Are the police going to pursue this? Good luck and keep us posted. :fingerscr :goodvibes:

That is so frustrating...I have a number I am waiting for at the end of Aug.
Does the animal hospital not have a call log on their telephone system?

Cell phone numbers are very hard to track as there is no "book" or reverse searach for them

I am praying whoever it was does call back...keep asking the police..you might find one that is symathetic to puppies.

Reverse search yield no results. The name of the man was not listed inside yellow page/phonebook.

We will try your suggestion of asking the vets for their call log.

As for the police, they have yet to update us if they found the man yet. The way the police communicate with us gave the impression that, "that is all we can do, and stop pestering us" indirectly, of course.

If you know the name of the man, would 411.com work? I don't know if they have more people on there than in the phonebook. I used that websiite to find names for the man who kept emailing me and it gave me a phone number and address. Maybe you can find his address by yourself.

We had a visit by a policeman this morning. He was in-charge of this case and told us he had a few leads to our lost dog. We gave him some photos of the dog and some details description of her.

2hrs later, we got a call to inform us that she had been found! She was "adopted" by a young couple. The numbers they initially left behind at the vet were wrongly mis-interpreted by the vets or whoever pick up the calls. HOw the police managed to solve the whole case, it remains a mystery, but gd job!:thumbs up

Her brother is very happy, they were both running around and playing happily. She had put on a bit of weight too by going on a "3 weeks vacation".

To all dog/cat owners, if you had lost your pet, dun give up hope!! YOu never knows miracle will happen!

cheers

p/s - is there any way i could change my 1st post thread title?

You can try www.canada411.ca If you know his name, or you can try www.411.ca just click on phone on your right hand side, then click on residential..to look up his number, also might bring up his addy as well.

Hope this helps. Hope you find your little guy.
