August challenge - Tails (stumps & nubs allowed)

ONLY 1 1/2 days to think of an idea for August. :eek: Get your thinking caps on. :D

how about tails???? not sure if that has been done before? :shrug:

Good one for the cats....the keeshond puppies will be a challenge with those curly little piggy tails on their backs. :laughing:

My daughter has a (white) boxer......and Cruiser can make his little stump move a mile a minute! So.....even little stubbies/stumps/nubs should count.

Some kees have very tightly curled tails, Baxters is curled but not super tight, Bentley on the other hand has a really tight curl to his. Getting pics should will be fun. It's a good challenge.

Sigh...we have tails galore here, but the big challenge for ol' hazel is getting into the challenge threads to post--they get so big so fast that her modem melts trying to download them! :eek: Sigh... But she'll :fingerscr and give it the ol' college try! :D

Oh, ya, growler...like I'm gonna get them to sit quietly in a circle facing any way! :laughing: You have overestimated the amount of training they have by about 6 dogs in a circle (I think I can manage one dog sitting with his or her tail pointing...uh...to the center point of an imagined circle of setters :laughing:)

Dazy's tail still has a kink in it from her swimmers tail incindent, it may never be the same!!! LOL! But she sure does like to wag it, is this what it is for Aug..tails? Let me know and I will arrange a photo shoot, I'll have to book an appointment, she's very busy :laughing: :laughing: .

Oh, golden tails are the best (IMO hahah)...I hope Dazy's looks like that again some day! They told me to shave it to avoid swimmers tail. :sad: BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You want to know what's strange about that picture? The horizon is actually straight.

A combination of various slopes angling in different directions and the fact the mountains are further away on the right than they are on the left PLUS the curve of the earth given the distances involved . . . . leaves a different impression on the eye.

And then there's the tail . . .

Beautiful tail! The angle of the shot really shows it off with the gold & white separation of color. Glad you didn't shoot it from the rear! All we would see would be the cascade.

:laughing: Got one, Sam , shortly after he came to my house , with his lion's cut :frustrated: yes he had to be shaved when I got him out of the shelter , and the groomer gave him a lion's tail :laughing: (don't mind me and the other dogs that I was trying to round up for a group picture)

It doesn't seem to hurt Indie too much! She loves playing with him - they're visiting again now and even with Romeo being so much bigger she still seems fine with it! Although now they're chasing each other around the living room so hopefully no damage will ensue that way :rolleyes: Barkley's just sitting in his chair looking at them like they're nuts :laughing:

These are my boyfriend's cats..but I spoil them just as much as my own! I love Aly's raccoon tail so I had to post it! The little one is Dexter, we rescued him from a halfway house in Toronto - the guy was giving them 'fresh air' letting them run around on the front steps, told us we could have one for free b/c the mother died and he didn't want to care for them. They looked like hell so we took Dexter and his two sisters, got them to a vet and found homes for the two girls! These were taken over a year ago...he's HUGE now!

Thank you Frenchy and Rainbow :) they werent a planed pair ...Ringo was first ive had him since a puppy and he soon will be 10...as for Chaska he was a stray i found a little over a year ago...he was in very bad shape so skinny and his hind legs were sadly very ripped open and he couldnt walk well, so after lots of nursing some yummy meals and lots of love he has turned out to be a FANTASTIC loveing cat (who thinks hes a dog :laughing: ) anyways thanx again and Great pic everyone!!

So Aztec had a dental last Friday and one of his upper canines was removed. Not an easy process, apparently, and they had to do a fair bit of "digging" :eek: to get it out (the bone had grown into the tooth). So he came home with a fentanyl pain patch on. It's attached to the underside of his tail and wrapped in gauze, which you can see in these pics. What really surprised me is that he hasn't tried to take it off yet. Must be really good drugs! :D

OUCH !!! ....Hugs for Aztec. :grouphug: He's a very handsome boy. :lovestruck: My dog had a pain patch on two separate occassions and left it alone too.....it surprised us as well. :D
